Microsoft Expands Availability of Skype Gift Cards, Both Online and In-Stores

As the holiday shopping season enters full swing, Internet voice calling service Skype has announced that its gift cards can now be purchased at select Microsoft Store, OfficeMax and Target retail stores within the United States. The Microsoft-owned service is making this move to bolster the number of users that are using its paid services for calling mobile phones and landlines or sending text messages.

The gift cards start at $10, which can get you unlimited calling to Europe for a month or a 3 month unlimited subscription for the United States and Canada. Additionally, TechCrunch notes that Skype gift cards are now available for purchase online in a total of 44 countries worldwide.
